hello everybody and welcome to survival Russia again today we're going to look at surprise surprise Hunter skis why because they are truly awesome they are winter awesomeness especially in deep snow and there's so many people ask me what matey what makes these hunters Keys why are they hunt the skis and the many people seem to not know anything about them even guys from Norway riding me like what is this so let's change the location then I'll show you what makes hunter skis on the skis as you can see they're quite wide they are 14 centimeters wide that should be something around live in 12 inches they're made of wood there 165 centimeters long which I don't know what is in the feet but yeah they're shorter than me there's a wooden block here the binding loops around this block and they're basically you just stick your chosen you have a rubber pad for some kind of serrations of what you can call it in them so your food will not slide too much backwards fine things are simply just a loop I'll show you in a short clip here how they work should be pretty obvious but anyway that's how the bindings work you simply just slip your foot in and out that is very very nice when you fold they are commercially made bindings with loops around the heel and all this funky stuff to these I attest the heel binding from my Canadian tennis racket snowshoes and yet white pretty nice until I was falling over which happens and then you're just laying there like a lame talk locals here they swear to this type of binding so that's what I would use here as I said the sun is shining for this powder like minus 8 as you might be able to see they don't sink in very deep so I see ya oh so even when you fall rather take the ski off put the cross here oh you should took it up with small around stick the season to move on he has a hunter skis here really nice when you're pulling a sled for example compared to snowshoes the slate is not the digging very deep down it's just slides on the track in the snowshoe tracks they almost they will often compact like this depth here and the slit can tilt a little bit around and so on generally these types of skis they are awesome I mean I can go three miles of five kilometres or something like this most likely longer because I'm traveling not in a straight line but on the way to the camp without sweating at all which is impossible in snowshoes I tried at some point to break the trail to the camp in the snow shoes before i got these keys here and i'll show you a clip here now trying to break a trail to the camp this evening as far as I can make it anyway that's how that look than it was a hundred times worse than it looked so again thank you for your time and please check the links in the description and as always get out and swing and get it done and see you next time here in Russia
