hello everyone I'm filming some videos today so today I am out filming a kit load out for a day out filming so that is for a new series of videos I'm doing all about how I make and film the videos for this YouTube channel and I'm experimenting with a couple of things as well and I'm doing another couple of how-to videos to go along with that it's pretty mild day feels more like maybe the beginning of middle of March rather than the beginning of January it's very rare mild up here birds are singing and sorry about the machinery can hear in the background my hell microphone has finally completely broken but i'm gonna be getting that fixed soon i'm not too far out i'm just a local bit of woodlands but what i thought i would do today so maybe meaning to do for a while is talk to you a little bit about my presence on other social media just excuse me a moment i have a bit of a bit of a sniffle I don't have a tissue with me just being a pack of ID hacker manage it's a very wet and damp out here today so yeah over social media and I am contact war on other social media and I kind of want to encourage people to interact with me and connect with me on my other social media sites so I'm on Instagram I love Instagram instagrams amazing and it's a really great way to keep up with people to see what they're doing pretty much as they're doing it and sometimes I take a picture on the DSLR which I'm filming on now and they go up when I get back from the trip but quite a lot the time I will be snapping pictures out about with my phone I've got very good network coverage so even in some of the really remote places I still managed to find internet signal so i can upload pictures and images and short videos and they're so instagram is really great so get on instagram search before us the bushcraft will find me no problem on there and i want to put a bit more effort into my Instagram this year want to create some really really nice pictures and stuff photography something I've been trying to get into for a while and I think Instagram will encourage me to do that so get on there drop me a follower leave me a message comment some of our pictures that you watch the youtube and I would drop people follow as well I don't automatically follow everyone that follows me on Instagram I've got some really random follows on there and if you're one of those random followers just just drop me a message or a comment I something on there I know who you are and I don't want to just follow everything cuz it's clogs up my news feed with like a bunch of stuff that I'm not interested in seeing and well I am on tumblr tumblr is a strange place I tried to avoid tumblr but I am on there I share most of my stuff on tumblr so drop me a follow on that as well I don't read understand tumblr it just seems to be a lot of people complaining but I do share my stuff on there any way for some reason my account ensemble it is like hugely popular so yeah get on there I'll put bit like a bit more effort into using that i'm on twitter i post on Twitter quite a lot usually it's just my instagram images but i do want to start using it a little bit more and twitter is an amazing way to connect with people so twitter is great so drop me and tweet tweet me tell me the tweets on twitter if you follow me and i'll follow you back please do follow me and twitter is brilliant wires for the brilliant so i love it because it for one allows me to see people's responses to my videos people were quite often share a video and leave a comment on there that doesn't appear on my youtube channel it also allows me to see what the people up to and it also allows them to see the other stuff that people are interested in so when somebody sure something on Twitter I go are people are interested in this I can have a look at it sometimes it's a skill sometimes it's the subject but when it comes to the skills it's sometimes a skill that I can already do more often than not swear I get a lot of my inspiration i go i'll do a video on that and then other times it skills that i have never even heard of I can't do and that's like cool I can have a look at that I can go out and learn to do this thing practice it refine it and then do a video on it so that is a great thing or Twitter and it's just it's just really useful for connecting with different people and i'm going to put more effort into use it this year I don't fully understand it I don't understand really how hashtags and stuck work and do a little bit but I just if somebody wants to do me a video explaining thoroughly how Twitter works feel free to do so and that brings you onto my last fall of social media which is one that I should be using regularly it's the most popular form of social media and that is facebook and i do have a forester bushcraft facebook page please get over there and give me a like and a comment and what have you on there and I don't post on it very often but this year I'm really going to make the effort to post on that and the reason I'm going to do this is one it allows people to message me directly I know you can do that on YouTube but I forget to check it all the time because it doesn't notify you and it's just a very unusual system for message on there but the facebook page if i get a message on it no matter where i am I get a nut case it says someone has messaged me and I it's much easier for me to respond to those messages basically don't just bombard me with loads of messages though because otherwise I won't get a chance to respond to them all but also almost like using a bit more because when I first started out this blog I wanted to do so I start out this channel I wanted to do a written instruction thing which went with every video or maybe just like little journal entries with some of the vlogs and things that I was doing and when I started out I didn't realize the amount of time and effort that goes into doing these videos and this is partly why I'm doing this to this little mini series on how I film stuff and what happy because I think a lot of people don't appreciate all understand that the sheer amount of effort that goes into doing this this video that I'm doing today is a simple video it's one shot filming me it's still going to take me a good few hours to get this onto the computer get it edited get it uploaded and get it out to you guys so the other videos I'm doing one of them was the kit loadout that's taken me basically two days to film due to a couple of little issues back home with the computer so I've had to come out and refill MIT but actually just the initial filming of that in the first place took me nearly three hours to do yesterday but for this for like a 10 minute video so you know and that's just the film excited once it gets into editing and etc etc so went on a bit of a rambling but what that meant was when I first started out I didn't realize how much time how how consuming it would be to actually do the YouTube channel and the written blog kind of just got forgotten about and got pushed back and got left behind but hasn't got a little bit more to grips with the the filming the editing and you know trying to get stuff out regular on the right day of the week I'm going to put more effort into doing that written blog and i'm probably going to go back to my old wordpress site and it's a little bit tricky to use but i'm going to go ahead and use anyway the reason that is i can link it very very easy with all my other social media so for example when i post a picture on Instagram that picture then goes to my Twitter it goes to my facebook it goes to my tumblr account it also goes to my walls are talking about my wordpress account as well so that's why I'm going to go back to using that I'm going to revamp the whole site don't bother going the minute there's like three articles on it and re poorly written what I am going to get back to using that so that's it that's what I wanted to talk about it today please do connect with me more on social media it's really beneficial to me it helps me pickle to pick up more followers and followers and subscribers and I'm not doing this to get famous I'm not doing it to get rich the reason that I want those things will be quite quite but they'll be enriching payments but that's not my primary concern the reason that I want more subscribers and more comments while I was always ask for comments it's very very useful to me it's great feedback and it allows me to see what aspects of each video people are enjoying it allows me to see which aspects of the videos people are not enjoying and it also gives me some ideas for coming up with new content for this YouTube channel which is the social media hub for me it's them the main center of my social media and I have to say coming up with ideas is it's the hardest thing I mean there's a million and one things out there that I could film there's loads of stuff that I know but I I sometimes don't make that connection go and I've got this knowledge let's put it into a video so comments are looking really helpful for and that's one I'm desperate to pick up more subscribers and followers on all my different social media things because from there I connect with you and I can see what you guys are up to and I can get ideas from you and then I can convert those into videos and then more people just the knowledge build up and build up from wells up and that's the real power of social media I think is very very valuable for books so all the links to all my social media will be in the description of the description box of this video and I'm going to try and make the effort to put it into all of my videos now the links are stuff to those so please follow me on my social media comment on someone my stuff retweet me share my things do all that really useful stuff and thank you all for watching I will see you our next video thanks guys
