Two Women Fall Through Ice and Discuss the Nature of Fear
Description
Two women fall through ice and discuss the role that fear plays in holding us back from life.
This video was shot at ReWild University under professional supervision with safety checks in place. Cold water immersion creates a physiological condition of cold shock that can cause cardiac arrest. Obviously, don't try this unless you are similarly under professional supervision and have rescue personnel in place.

this is a rare opportunity to watch two friends as they discuss some of the fears and the fear process that holds us back from experiencing many of the most vibrant things in life unlike some discussions where the people are just sitting on a couch and philosophizing about what if they're standing in front of an experience that is going to take everything that they're talking about and bring it into reality as you watch this price break through keep in mind that we at reweld University it's a normal part of almost every winter students experience to fall through the ice experience that and perform a self-rescue usually it is done with more safety checks in place because these are two people that are close to me and I know their their physical health and their capabilities here we did it with minimal safety checks this is definitely not a do yourself or do at home activity if you're going to try something like this make sure that you do it under the supervision of a profession why I'm only doing this because Jen said she was going to do it for the record I'm doing this because Kenton invited me and that you know this is a good idea and and i really like Kenton's ideas generally speaking and looks like yeah that sounds okay and I watched him do it and it looked easy um that's great Jen you want to share about your fears sorry oh I'm afraid of all the water all around me all cold all at once really and I know that I will be cold and of course fear of the unknown and yeah like I won't be able to relax yeah I don't fear that I'll just it just won't escalate and escalate and escalate and I won't find that like okay spot yeah yeah yeah so for me I'm worried about being cold as well and and that my reaction will be so great that I will gulp the water and I'll just stay panicky but I shouldn't do that and so that's actually the compounding here is that I shouldn't do a certain action or have a server and and so if I can just let go of any of that led be what it's going to happen which you'll see in a third moment but then at some point if i can remember that i have another option which is to allow myself to relax into the situation then then that's just an option that i have to take I can do either I can do whatever happens I can do whatever so it's experiment here you go back up oh my god so babe I love you we love you is that where I should start jumping up and down yeah just think about all the little children who make the same face for like things a day that we've all done before but he's never done before that seems so easy that's like we get another chance yeah it's funny it would be interesting afterwards to like see how we feel because I wonder how many people experience agonizing over a situation that hasn't actually occurred and yeah potentially may not occur yeah the way that we think it will yeah no area that is just that's like that's the truth girl right there that is the truth yeah um I guess there's many many many many many experiences of this kind that eventually lead you to go you know right now I'm standing on the shore I'm actually pretty warm and comfortable I had to stand this way for like an hour I'd be okay and I'm not on the ice yet so mm-hmm and it only takes one time of a low value or a poor or a bad experience to then set off this chain reaction of reactionary spots right and for the next neck right something like that and then evidence builds even though it's not real evidence right if you look for anything that yeah okay I was so laughs if you just read our Savior is in the water that would change things around a little bit yeah haha I think it's just refreezing you
you did wanna come I low enough oh you're fine ah go boys and like right well the ice hit my leg ah and it hurts more cuz of the first sensations more I need the call they hate it ah but i love it don't get me important I don't want to be a warm weather person I love the cold i hate the car ah it feels like i'm freezing up my bones and all of my things ah some funny how that is such a strong ah ah my arms are cold kenton oh that didn't happen too bad my legs haven't been moving yeah good go my brain is friend I love you I just go in or should I try to break it you
Wow yeah yeah haha nicee beautiful oh one thing I don't like on my hands being home yes otherwise I could stay in here for a little bit yeah how um how long she can hear you over the phone I can feel where the Shivering wants to happen you
