People Eat Weird Foods from the Wilderness
Description
Nothing like forcing people to eat weird things from the forest!
You might have to use your skills to forage these foods if you're starving and surviving in the wilderness, but there's no reason you can't eat them in civilization, too.

we're no strangers to strange food but we've yet to subject our friends and family to our particular palette on today's menu milkweed pods a favorite of the monarch butterfly but also edible for humans have cooked chanterelle mushrooms not a french girls name but a fairly tasty little mushroom and finally pine needle tea a favorite of one of our favorites Bear Grylls well it actually doesn't look too bad I'm not sure which one I'm smelling to be honest with you or if it's the butter but it smells decent and I guess it depends upon how hungry I am you know I'm biased all right what anything you cook for me I like seasoning smells good hmm and so what's on the inside I mean it's like a popper almost like it looks like cheese it looks like cheesy so that's the milkweed yeah part oh it's all the milkweed okay well as a matter of fact it's it pretty good okay they look like okra to me so and I like oh cross so I think I like it I like the texture a lot the flavor is a bit too salty because you know me I I like light food I guess yeah okra is pretty close comparison to it the only difference is I think oh chris is sticky right now this is not I can actually taste the fuzziness positive video Brian found the one that had the fuzz in it hmm I like it a lot would you buy it in the store mmm I would beaten the same way i would buy okra probably not I had in my mouth like it really looks like you're eating some type of alien Body Snatcher pod how wide you go yeah the big ones aren't as good yeah that's what happened to you brian is not good I did brush my teeth before hand so maybe that's why I'm not getting the fuzzy taste in the back of my mouth just kidding Brian wash in doral i had many times before thanks to andrew okay so how did you prepare it I uh is our cheese and butter so it sounds like butters like the common ingredient for both of these things it's pretty good and it's a little chewy mushroom is just chewy a gang I'm judging the cooking yeah my favorite cook it is actually with some coconut oil and just a little bit of salt and pepper and it has a strong flavor as far as mushrooms go usually I feel like mushrooms are just filler they're not very interesting either I wouldn't eat mushrooms just to eat mushrooms on a side dish I throw out a pizza no out a burger I don't really eat mushrooms anyway so now i don't think i'd buy either of these but he's actually pretty good I'm not a big tea drinker but hmm if you tell me I wouldn't know it's pine needle I guess I could smell a little bit of the pine might be stronger here well of course it is look at all the pine needles I can smell it smells like the bitumen see how many calories are in this like it tastes like like a pine tree I guess tastes good it's like herb tea it's like like a cough drop whenever you get those emergen-c packets a greater headless it's basically like sugar and orange but like I need a weedwacker to before I do you like the taste it's so subtle I I did if someone would ask me to describe the taste I guess I don't know how I would do it other than saying it starts with hot water and then maybe there's a little something in it but I'm not the most articulate person when it comes to describing flavors you drink lots of to you right actually no I drink more coffee than tea but I like tea just that they don't give me enough caffeine to keep me awake sure you taste something I don't think it's a detergent that you used to clean the glass between no samplers here but can you taste it I know what it tastes like so I will give this a thumbs up but this particular batch is kind of weak so what's your overall thoughts on all three of these all three of these surprisingly interesting and actually to look at it and see the different layers I just thought it was much more than what I was expecting that but yeah I know I'm gonna give it a thumbs up to everything probably stay away from the big ones I like this like this that was okay overall thoughts is I think they can use a little less spice so the original flavor can come out more yeah I like it I like it a lot they're your favorite I like them equally so this is your i would say of the three yes and the pine needle tea well it looks nice okay but I don't taste much in it yeah alright well thank you very much cut you
