what do you think so far aesthetically it's just so unique and interesting I don't know I'm just excited to get more yakitori and beer other foods it's like you grow up watching anime and movies and stuff and you get this idea that in your head and it turns out that that's exactly correct it's like so we're going to meet up andrew's friend Joey who is in town we're gonna have the breakfast you didn't town out of town Joey was the reason I just my high school girlfriend oh really time you convinced to do that yeah you like locked us both in a Riverside are these up for grabs no what are they oranges I could definitely reach that one you guys want me to get it [Music]
it's much less boring than a regular guardrail we're in Akasaka station we're having breakfast so to speak but I think it's just going to be whatever food we can find not necessarily breakfast foods out here you got to work for your position
this is Andrews friend Joey like I got a burrito at 7-eleven and they microwaved it for me hmm this lasagna flavored we're going to the Akasaka Imperial grant are there any rules we need to follow you see anything pretty common-sense stuff so this is like how does this work just rinse your hands off but what is a little cup for that's what stick your hands in it shows a dunk of water onto your hands Oh like over at the rocks okay you can throw my knight in - yeah good luck - thriller yeah so you can light a candle here you put it here and then make a wish or anything I should ever say well I know that you put money in there and then you shake that thing right we're going to Shibuya now to get some lunch everything wasn't open yet because he was still before eleven o'clock but we got like three stations to get there [Music]
the crossing so this is Shibuya and this is the Venus scramble crossing at least that's what I've heard it's been called right there's we're just thousands of people are going to be crossing and it's not particularly crowded right now at all but you can still see like the lines go straight when they're crossing you know around you have to be able to see this later even from up here [Music]
yeah even compare the last time we were here it's like not crowded at all it was very easy to get through early Sunday eleven people aren't in yet so Michael's going to take us to the Taco Bell apparently it's really nice here it's not like in the US where it's just trash food well the food is still trash okay still tragedy look at the restaurant this the restaurant itself is very different in terms of appeal for like the first month or so you had to wait like at least one or two hours to get it Oh where's that beer if your beer here - yes get like a very Japanese flavor to it our Michael with the meet you sir min this I mean noodles is what's here so like you want to get what this was for its noodles there's like basically like really actually logs engine every single one of them in the world and how's it very good Joey what do you been eating while you've been here just whatever you find a bunch of whatever I mean a lot of food from 7-eleven no lot of onigiri I like a tonkatsu I thing that they microwave me on the counter and last night how about a nesting late what do you think Brenda likeable definitely better than having Columbus Ohio
Joey's leaving and he has to go back to the u.s. today I think we're gonna meet up with one of our viewers Scott kernig he's in Akihabara right now we're gonna go there look at videogames the big good time all right sleep he's living up to his nickname what is it a sleeper brands of sleeper cell
this is like the true electric like a riveting and I used to look like before I got cleaned up yeah cool you could build a stereo or whatever let's go build a stereo so last time on the vlog this was just like a time-lapse we walked right through it but like this is the original electric town where you could like make stereos we got compass' etre and electric stuff we got their hair just back it was lacking me let's go through my mother's love she was pretty cool about things pretty smooth and such a smile all its miniature head yeah sometimes one night he comes over the house one by the way this is Scott hey your cool thing on the blogger oh no problem okay yeah he watches infinite archives lives in Japan look a hydraulic press that's totally a drill actually [Music]
that's a gingko tree also called maiden hair actually it's one of the oldest trees evolutionarily speaking and apparently they found these like preserved in Shaolin temples I heard or like yeah
and add this one right here do you know this one no so they closed the streets on the weekends so you can just roam wherever you want lots of times you'll see like cosplayers and stuff sandy right now though I'm pretty sure we went here last year this is one of the main retro stores in Akihabara but it's a good one I got lots of like the old stuff that we like yo it's crowded in here my cell de collection right there is beautiful
[Music]
you know it's super narrow in here super crowded
[Music]
that place was called retro game camp we're gonna go to traitor which is a I think it's a chain but this particular one actually has retro games that we can go look at and this is the place we went to last year and this is probably my favorite store that came down is right only 545 affordable now is the original a knows boom finally going away good so yeah what tournament five is eighty eight thousand yen that's like eight hundred dollars in I don't remember if we showed it last year but this is the expensive taste they got stuff is like five hundred dollars that's probably the most expensive one there marker the Wolves $1,000 damn you got US imports right here read silver for LA or Wayne's World yeah this is super potato and this is like the retro game shop in Tokyo but it's not where you want to buy because it's expensive it's the funnest place to go to and look around I want that it's a it's the original map from the original Zelda ex-slave to have it
[Music]
door
Hakeem I haven't seen this as a kid your mind my mind would have melted every guy's got a stack of like dead gang keeps back here just like lining the walls huh is that orange or yellow it's orange just always said it was yellow has a huge mercy properly hey the final floor is just a arcade snake my buddy fellas tank right here very smoky up here lots people playing on the arcades yo I think the guy makes me more real and they're just like yeah these are kind of interesting look like handmade yeah
wow this is just like this is literally like something you would dream and just be like I have this dream that I was walking through this place filled with toys everywhere and then there was things like this every now and then I had to wake you up and then I woke up me [Music]
[Music]
okay Andrews gonna have this for a scotch experience go for it here comes did it it it it it Oh what is this from you messin to 2 2013 is it link between world yeah Lincoln says no kaze no tucks all it's from winwaker winwaker i don't know what that one is linked to the best ones you get I got link to the pack running to the past very nasty
I've been doing a lot of this breeding what's nice prusik knot you know with your campus is she body right no go over there no a prusik knot that you use on your tarp and stuff when you're camping you well this is like a super version of that pull on the okay now grab the braid itself and try to move it forward or backwards what it's like Matt well that wayward filly yeah it's I end up this oh that's crazy man I've got a microphone Batman to want you to think this thing's with
dude those Chrono Trigger figures right there you're like 60 bucks US dollars but my god so tempting oh all right so Scott's going home we're gonna keep on trekking this is a really cool store called kotobukiya which has great figures came here last year too but we're just going to check it out real quick
hopefully not buy anything this is the Monster Hunter section and me Brian and Andrew play Monster Hunter all the time the nice look at this figures look at this man so cool go home and be a family man what you are probably oh yeah yeah [Music]
I remember this from the blog yes I do that is crazy yeah that's magnetic you see that this is where we had a kebab last time kebab kebab sat down over there like a sword
oh so kelly beef and there's cabbage underneath and there's like a spicy sauce okay we're gonna find a place to sit down maybe get something to eat while you okay yes the last time we were here this place wasn't closed I tried to get a shot just like on the crosswalk wall in between the light show you told you about it showing us it you know that Shinjuku Station is crowded we're looking for this place to eat that apparently everything is 297 yen including the beers really yeah so this would be a good place to go we're headed to the ninth floor right there we're doing what's called a no Miho die which means you can drink as much as you want within a certain allotment of time to have an hour and a half to drink as many beers as we can Michael's not going to be joining this drinking I don't think Bryce could drink that much so me and Andrew we go get plastered love recent Japanese beer boys but you can oh that's really good like I thought it'd be really strong so that's really good it's warm the toss are you have any idea what this is like it's yeah it's just like a mochi mochi and potatoes mochi and potato one up down in analogy its mochi mochi oh it's potato and chewy potato chip ah all right that kick that would kill in America yeah oh yeah oh yeah Michael oh I was gonna order them before you my dude that's wrong oh oh yeah oh yeah so these are fried octopus balls these little flakes above them and they kind of move around you need it right we gave a dish
it's made of fish and the heat makes another it looks like a final fantasy monster burger it's a little hungry so last time I had takoyaki was like 2006 I didn't like it at all but yeah it was weird but you try it now is it alike are you not hmm that's way better than what I remember you know it's good well good
I don't know why I didn't like it back in the day funny how the stage Jeppe it's like it I think whatever they put on there makes it a stream this was called beef giblets on the menu we assume it's some sort of organ meat so this is okano Chicana which means the power of the roof whatever that is whatever tell ya a move that in here in the cold here so we changed it in the cold so they say boo cone no shikata is the name but said they say Fuko no jakarta which means the power of poop and that's like kind of a free drink that you drink before you drink to prevent hangovers from Franklin's so that I'll I forgot Japanese fried chicken on the outside they kind of like put pepper on it it's like very peppery taste it's really good did you know that exotic - there are more fried chicken places than in the US really Korea has more fried chicken place in the US apparently the other China has more basketball players in the higher population of America like we don't even know what this is but I know you and me about to eat some and figure out what it is that's that's what living is like that's a great shame the other day said that experience is education for the Soul or no experience is to the soul what education is all right so I'm gonna try some of this hormones beef hormones I don't know what that is but if there's a defining characteristic of the meats that people don't normally eat its chewy
that's like if you want to just like stereotype all other meats chewy okay so the meal is complete principally pudding
we drank enough for Brian and Michael no problems don't worry about that guys how was it guys phenomenal I wasn't was about futsuka - yeah this is pretty normal and I like I like this place in terms of their food is good and drink sir if you get a no mijo die and all you can drink then it can be worth it oh yeah she smiled
I wish my [Music]
Oh
[Music]
we were singing tonight son we heard that it was not so silent but I love and I'm living it bring it there is a scene in the Christmas Carol movie with the card what's this magic magic Syria where they're like going all through the world everything everyone's singing that song oh really I don't know man aside the ghosts take them to like a prison in there all seen in it - Wow Johnny Depp in it I guess Amos that's awesome
any dinner where you sing silent night with a bunch of strangers is success as far as I'm concerned with a ukulele or the ukulele yeah it's crazy man so I'm very moved
so that was a ukulele circle and in Japan a circle is kind of like a club so they get together and play the ukulele I guess yeah dance and music brings the world together okay so up next we're going to the outdoor goods store to buy camping materials and stuff like that I've never been there I think Michael might have been there before hold on hello what's going on here whatever
my she's really hot you
[Music]
this is a real treat l spanked
