Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

hi guys my name is Lily and today I want to build a deborah site which you can use in the city as forests if you get lost in the forest and you didn't manage to make a fire you need some kind of shelter which protects you from the elements and keeps you warm even without the fire so you can survive the night and the first thing we want to do is we are going to search for a good natural structure which can take our ridgepole I gotta take a huge pile of leaves and set them underneath the ridgepole and it's just very important that you get some kind of ground insulation between you and the ground because otherwise in the night when it's getting cold the ground is going to start to heat out of your body that feels very comfortable actually now it's time for the basic structure so I just got to take some sticks and lean them against the ridgepole the framework is finished and it's looking good but it's still a little bit you know to course it has too much holes in it and now I'm going to search for some final material which I can lay on the structure before I put the leaves on okay I just found this turn here which is just perfect for the shelter and the important thing when collecting fern is that you cut them off with your knife because you can really hurt your hands with it by ripping it out the shelter's finished now it's time to try it out from entering the shelter go with your feet first and be very careful to not destroy the structure of the shelter obviously I had to leave open the entry to the shelter and to close it in night just take some more leaves and pull them inside of your shelter okay I just covered myself with leaves just like a blanket and leaves make a very good insulation material and right now I'm already feeling that it's getting very warm inside of the shelter when building natural shelters it really comes down to free rules and the first rule is insulation from the cold ground secondly you want to watch out that you have enough of cover to keep out cold winds and thirdly you want to have a good cover on the top which is going to keep out the rain and the snow a shelter like this can be a lifesaver if you get lost in the wilderness I want to thank you for watching check out these videos here at the sides follow me on Facebook Twitter and Instagram and stay tuned till next time
