hello and welcome to a new quick tip my name is Mike and today I have a very special tip for you guys regarding F ceramic sharpening rod so stay tuned

all I'm pretty sure most of you guys know that I prefer to touch up my blades with the ceramic rod sharpening rod this one by the way is one of the best that I have found and you can get it from Ikea or IKEA it's as simple as that if you ceramic rod if your knife hold the angle and touch it up from both sides but today's video is not about how to sharpen with a ceramic rod today's video is about the ceramic rod so let's take a close of well as you can see over hundreds and hundreds of times that I use this rod it get this black dirt on the rod itself which is normally white as you can see down here and this also closes all the fine pores and you're not able to get the full sharpening amount of this white ceramic stuff this black on top here I mean the whole damn thing is covered in it is from the steel that you removed with this rod but I want to show you right now how you can clean up this rod simple and easy that's my quick tip for the week the one and the only thing you need to clean this ceramic rod is a simple eraser that you normally use when you want to erase something you've written with the pencil and all we gonna do is take the eraser and wrap all the black stuff away very very simple very easy

you don't need much pressure at all look at that it turns into white again right there as you can see here just clean it with the razor look at that yeah you can see the black one where I haven't used the eraser yet and there is the finished product and you can see it's getting white again simple and easy and after two minutes with the eraser your sharpening rod your ceramic rod looks like that and is ready for the next use so I hope you enjoyed this small little quick tip video thanks for watching see you next time my god
