hello my name is mike and i want to show you today a really great quick tip so stay tuned field sharpening a knife is not easy when you don't have the right tools with you and maybe have a high and steel knife those modern steels are very hard to sharpen and some of them can only be sharpened with diamond or ceramic because i love my ceramic rod from ikea and always get a razor's edge with that I was looking up for a version that is smaller and easier to carry in the field and the found one on amazon for your convenience I've put a link in the description box down below so check it out now that it got a perfectly sized ceramic rod with even a course apart on it to restore and fine sharpening the edge I needed to change the look and protected while transportation ceramic is brittle and will break when hitting a hard surface well I had an old piece of antler around and some leftovers from an old letter project I did the other day so I get rid of the ugly plastic handle drill the hole into the antler include the ceramic rod in with epoxy time effort 10 minutes total with the old scrap piece of leather I made a simple sleeve for the rod make a snug fit by stitching the letter in the corner directly beside the ceramic rod cut off the excess and protect the letter with some beeswax now I got myself a nice-looking ceramic field sharpener that is protected while transportation in the pack also I'm able to reach sharpen and find sharpen the edge with this special two-way ceramic rod link in the description box don't forget about it so I hope you enjoyed this quick tip until next time my god
