today in this video we take a closer look on an easy blade is out there for years

the Victorinox spark as you can see the Spartan I have it in black with like cellular scales it's well worn and all these scratch marks some of you guys may like it some of you don't well I personally like it because give some character to the knife and you can see that it's used the modern Spartan from Victorinox has just the basic features you only have your main blade you have your small pen blade which is good for carving you have the bottle opener screwdriver flat head screwdriver and wires tripping arch which locks in a 90 degree position the other side you have your can opener which is one of the best out there with a smaller flat head screwdriver on top of it as usual and you can use this small tiny little flathead four Phillips head as well on the back of the knife this case you have the corkscrew that I have attached this eyeglass screwdriver to repair the eyeglass in the field and this nested inside the Koch screw so you don't need any space extra and your straight pin and you have the all slash reamer slash punch beside that you have the small little keyring tweezers which I use a lot to get out splinters when I'm in the wood we're going to have some ticks and the toothpick well that's all of the features of the Spartan and now I want to show you how a knife like this can be used in the field beside this baton which has a corkscrew of the back you can also take the model called tinker which has the Philips head at the backside of this knife the tinker model with the Philips head on the back is the most used blade from MacGyver just if you interested in this knife has a non-locking blade so you have to be very careful when you do some carving but a small little blade like this is awesome

for fine carving because of the slim profile with just two layers it also is very comfortable in your pocket you have to cut very very fine or detailed things that pen blade works awesome it really does such a great job with fine and detailed carving you have so much control over this small little blade really really helps yeah hi I'm Lily and I just wanted to say that you really have to be very careful with the non locking plates because it happened to me that I cut my finger very deep with our Swiss Army blade when he wants drill a hole into wood with a folding knife that is not locking always take the very tip of the blade and punch it with your fingers secure it like this because when you slip off with the blade with the tip you only stab yourself with let's see five mil of this plate and not with two and a half inches so just take the very tip pinch it between your fingers and then you can easily drill some holes into the wood maybe you need to start bow drill maybe you needed to create a hole to lash anything onto this wood or make a trap out of it personally I do like the corkscrew more than the Phillips because of two reasons one reason is not because I drink a lot of wine no but you can use the small little flathead as I said before to open Phillips head screws and the second reason is that a cork screw is very useful if you use it the other way round if you have a very tight knot let's say in your shoelace in your paracord your rope whatever just go with the corkscrew find a nice place where you can put the very tip of the corkscrew and because you can see I'm now inside this knot if I just wriggle around a bit it loosens up and I won't break my fingernails off so let's see it one more time you went in with the corkscrew like this another string you pull it and your knot is untied well this Parton is a very primitive model of all these Swiss Army knives and you have to decide your own which model fits you best you may go for this Barton you may want a sonnet
