you
hello and welcome to a new episode the survivor soon at RIT my name is Mike and today we are talking about military packs or military equipment so stay tuned for more let's take a look at two very different but very useful bags for bushcraft and survival on the right hand side you see a common man's hiking bag which is designed for hiking go outside in the woods go on mountaintops for easy seeing for ya going to school whatever but one of the minor problems I have with this pack it's not that it is not good it is good but it is on one hand not that's dirty as let's say military pack and on the other hand you have no chance really no chance of attaching different type of gear attaching different stuff and personalize your pack so it's just a regular normal pack bag which every people does have and use in the city as well as on the mountains on the left hand side you have a military looking back well has plus and it also has minus points the big minus point is that the pack looks very military and this is maybe a problem and disturb people when you go a walk through cities through environments where military is not all around I would say on this hand the point goes to the normal hiking bag on the right hand side but in my mind this is the only - point of the military pact because it has so much so much to give you so much to offer so much to make use of but let's take a closer look on it well that's the military pact as I said before the big - point of this pact is that it's camo pattern I personally love this pattern this this multicam is awesome it's a beautiful looking pattern and I really like it and yeah disappears a bit in nature you can easily throw stuff on this pack you know third and other stuff leaves whatever you find in the woods and it's nearly disappears completely but the big big point I want to show you it's not that it can be easily disappearing in the woods no the point is why I love this pack or in general military packs quite a lot the point is you have a racket really sturdy back this material is so tough so robust no chance with this cheap nylon which is also robust as well but not as robust as the military pack so that's one thing on the other hand you have the chance the option to choose and personalize your own rucksack or your own backpack as you need it you can put different styles of pouches on it very easily and attached very sturdy to the bag with the molle system great for personalizing as I said before you have all your equipment where you need instant access to it you have right there when you need it for example in this pouch I keep the whole water bottle opened Dana and my titanium cup very easy and always there when I need it on the other hand I have two cultures - pistol magazine pouches I think they call it one hand multi-tool comes in very handy and need it very awesome on the other side I have some bits for the multi-tool no
also lets this stuff very often so it's attached right there and I don't have to unpack all the the main compartments and search for it no it's right there when I need it at the bottom of this back put it over here you can see this tiny little very lightweight folds up very quickly into a big and huge pouch dump pouch I also did a review on the max petition dump pouch roly-poly this is the pendant from tasmanian tiger the whole backpack is from this minion tiger as well as the molly molly stuff that i attached on the outside this comes in very handy let's say for foraging stuff mushrooms wild edibles you can put your game inside without getting all the stuff in your backpack dirty you can also collect firewood very easy with this dump pouch and on and on and so on good thing is for once you don't need it anymore simply fold it fold it again fold it again and you're done very small very compact very lightweight on the outside of the backpack itself i have attached one of these pouches which is about a four by four five by four inches by one inch in depth this gives you organization when you need organization simply opens up and you have all your gear that you need instant access very fast for example here is a heavy-duty garbage bag thousands of uses a flashlight waterproof container the first aid kit you always should put your first-aid kit
anywhere at the outside of the backpack or on the top lid of the backpack so you have instant access and not just get rid of all the stuff from your backpack because you need your first aid kit because when you need your first aid kit you are in trouble and you get need to get to it fast so that's quick access there I will put a firesteel in there as well
I'm not playing around with the system a bit but there you have instant and fast access on pouches you have from the outset also a good thing about this military system peg I would call it is that you have this stuff always on the same place this pouch this pouch this pouch it's always the same configuration and you need it you and you know it where it is every time the main compartment of the backpack is mostly empty because it depends on where I go I go cycling if I go motorcycling if I go hiking if we go shopping if I go whatever I can change the special equipment I need for each task very simply very fast but always have my main gear that I need at hand and don't have to change and unchanged all the pack so this is a nice little backpack really love it but now let's talk about the carrying system and I show you how both of the pegs are look like on the person okay let's start with the common man hiking bag which is a great bag for going to school for example when I'm in the city and won't disturb anyone by my looking I wear a bag like this easily put a laptop in there waterfall his neck and you're good to go and of course the first aid kit never miss a first aid kit they will leave it at home well it writes very comfortable it's designed for hiking excuse me it's designed for hiking so you have good carrying system waist belt sternum strap good padded shoulder straps nicely pack and this brightly colored stuff may come in handy in a survival situation because you can signal with it you can show people hey Here I am but tell the truth see the bushcrafting if you are on your own camping anywhere especially when you look out for wildlife you don't want to stream to the wildlife Here I am I have a red backpack and yellow clothing and this case it would be very very difficult to see wildlife and watch it you want to get a little bit to look like nature I would say when you when you going out to watch wildlife but that's the peg don't want to talk that much about the bag it's just a regular normal tag my parent company auto walks that's the small and very comfortable military backpack my system personalized on my personal needings
you can see I also attached this one here which holds a amazing flashlight laughs this one inside here quick access when I need the flashlight maybe if I drop the keys at the car or midis approaching too fast and I need to find my way back to the car or back at home flashlight is always good even in urban areas take a look at the setups itself
very light very compact on your on your body okay all you need quite there when you need it so that's the two differences of backpacks and one hand the common man's hiking bag and on the other hand military system where you can personalize the whole system like you want like you need where you can choose the pattern on the backpack and you have really rugged and sturdy stuff hope you liked the video see you soon in the next one Mike from the survival solidity have a great day you
