hey guys so lately I've been looking for a new great way to capture some really good shots from the trail on my hikes I didn't want to carry anything like a bulky tripod so I've been looking for a lightweight option then I found the stay pick

so the stick pick was actually designed by a through hiker out of California I'm looking for a great way to get some wide angle shots now this was before the selfie stick so pretty much what he made was it's a tripod now it has a quarter-inch thread on it so it allows you to put on a camera a GoPro anything that has that quarter-inch insert in it and then he attached this little piece on the bottom that has a hole in it now what that diameter does is allows you to stick it on the end of your trekking Pole like so so by doing that it allows you to have a selfie stick and get those nice big wide angle shots that everybody is always after so what I use is the GoPro session for I had this little tripod mount that I got for it and essentially what it does is it screws right on the end here a little bit of quick adjustability there and then it allows me to get those nice wide-angle shots the actual little stick pick itself weighs 0.3 ounces and with it and my little tripod mount it weighs an ounce now that's an ounce without the camera but an ounce so much larger than most of the tripods I seen and it allows me to get really great shots kind of like this

so yeah I think it'll be a really great little 0.3 ounce addition to my gear list to help me get some really good shots on the 80 and the PCT in 2017 go over to the stick pic comm check them out find out what size diameter fits your trekking pole and give it a try like or dislike my video subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and as always thanks for watching

At the end of 2014 my wife Snuggles & I decided to quit our jobs, sell 95% of the things we own, & leave our home town for good in search of adventure, culture, & the true meaning of happiness. We bought a van, traveled all over the country & hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2189.2 miles). We are still seeking adventure in new places, meeting new people, trying new food & drink, & discovering all that we can.

This Channel has developed into a main hub for aspiring hikers & current hikers to gain info on a wide variety of Trail Topics. With a series of Trip Videos, Q&A, Tip Videos, & Gear Reviews, I aim to get you out on the trail and hiking more!
