I'm on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon I arrived here pretty late last night big day yesterday didn't film watched roads into the day of really trying to push it here in camp we got in had some really nice Park Rangers actually invited me over for a campfire and some food which was really awesome really needed after yesterday and today I will hand my bike off to a shuttle service that's going to take my bike to the South Rim and then I'm gonna hike the lumber-room

so North Rim the South Rim by foot should make for a pretty interesting day two days on the bike that's time to get back on the feet Cheers so I just got to the North Kaibab trail head here at the Grand Canyon just dropped off my bike to have it shuttled all the way over to the South Rim so I am standing on the North room right now and I'm about to hike down and back up to the South Rim and do a full rim to rim and one day I should get there pretty light but uh yeah time to do this take a little break from riding and bust this out

there's tons of these little bridges here in the canyon really cool it just keeps going back and forth

this is called Bright Angel Creek these little bridges just kind of weeds back and forth from Southend at the north end of the north end of the south end pretty cool this kind of big slot canyon chasm for a while now

still haven't reached the bridge crossing the Colorado River that one hell of a hike definitely get out here though fair review so finally after walking about nine miles through all those flat kind of slot canyons kinda cruising down through the bottom of the canyon I think I finally reached that up there that's the South Rim so that is where I am headed I'm a little bit away from the bridge that crosses the Colorado River but I think I've come about fourteen miles so far from the North Rim so not too shabby it's about four o'clock I took off at 12:30 so feeling pretty good about that but still have one hell of a climb ahead of me I made it all the way down to the bottom and I am bet to cross the Colorado River so I'm going up so unfortunately he does I had my bike showed around to the South Rim the bike will be dropped off at the Bright Angel lodge which is of course at the top of the Bright Angel Trail so technically the Arizona Trail goes up the South Kaibab trail as it goes down the North Kaibab trail across the canyon and then up the South but because I had it showed I kind of have no other choice so I'm hiking me Bright Angel Trail it said that the Bright Angel Trail is an S steep the grade is a little more level but it's longer so I don't know exactly how much longer it is but uh I'm definitely filling this day and it's kind of starting to get dark but the canyons getting really pretty and it's sort of spooky out here because I'm the only person that I've seen on the trail so ever since I crossed the Colorado River that's been kind of spooky getting dark by myself not a lot of noise it's really quiet in the canyon beautiful but eerie still climbing starting to get a pretty dark though

want to try to go as long as I can try have to break up my headlamp and really feel like sike is beating me up but that's to be expected riding 90 miles

to the north room and then put out a 24 25 26 my health day down and back up the Grand Canyon right after that 90 mile ride so that guy zero day is in my future tomorrow see good thing as I can see lights at the top of the ramp so I must not be too far so last night I was a little bit too wore out to shoot video whenever I got to the top but I topped out on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon at 7:45 so that put my rim to rim hiked 7 hours and 15 minutes on the dot so 7 hours 15 minutes 24 miles from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon all the way through the bottom to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon it was absolutely amazing amazing hike one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done doing the 80 hiking all over the country in different places hiking on the Grand Canyon is second to none really is amazing I met a really cool cat Nathan on the North Rim who lives on the South Rim and Lindsey his fiancee is a park ranger so thanks to Nathan and Lindsay for taking me in last night he came and picked me up from Bright Angel lodge where my bike was and I stayed in their 5th wheel camper last night and today I am taking a zero because after writing 90 miles from the Utah border to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and then hiking from the North Rim to the South Rim all on a matter of three days really takes a toll on your body so I'm going to take today off I'm going to eat some food relax run a couple errands here in Grand Canyon Village and kind of enjoy the canyon as a little bit of a tourist is I'm a pretty big National Park geek and then tomorrow morning I'll start heading south again

flagstaff leaving my next stop but yeah the room room was really amazing and again thanks so much to Nathan and Lindsay for opening their home to me and giving me a place to sleep and take a shower and I even did laundry amazing host shows you that there are still really amazing people out there and you can definitely trust people so see ya you

We bought a van, traveled all over the country & hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2189.2 miles). We are still seeking adventure in new places, meeting new people, trying new food & drink, & discovering all that we can.
