hey guys a review of the Big Agnes copper spur UL 2/10 this is the tent that snuggles and I carried on our Appalachian Trail thru-hike this year and the one that we usually carry on any backpacking trip we do has definitely been my favorite tent that I've owned good and lightweight and yeah I'm going to kind of show you setting it up and how we liked it so let's talk about the weight first of all the tent and the fly coming this nice stuff set and the tent the fly together weigh in two pounds three ounces to pounds three ounces for a two-person tent and fly that's a three season tent and an excellent rain fly the nice deck DAC deck stakes way and at three point four ounces and that's with the step set and the poles which is a DAC system a one-piece tack pole system weighs in at eleven point nine ounces and you can either carrot or not carrot we decided to carry one but they make a particular footprint the copper spur ul to footprint for the tent and the footprint weighs in right at seven point eight ounces so for the entire tent with the footprint weighs in right at three and a half pounds so three and a half pounds for a nice through season two person tent and again that's with the footprint now I carried the tent fly the poles and the stakes and snuggles carried the footprint so there's a little bit lighter on me so if you're one person looking at doing it - excellent roomy tent for one person and to be honest it's a pretty roomy tent for two people so uh let's throw it up for it and give you a little tour of it

alright guys so here's the Big Agnes copper spur ul - all set up and ready to go we have the fly on if you notice the fly has a double vestibule so you have a door over here and come over to the side we have another door so you have dual entry so it's perfect for two people or like I said it's also great for one person we know multiple people on the trail that carried the same same tent we like to do our vestibule like this so if you can see in here snuggles is laying down relaxing and we always kind of kept our vestibule open like this so that way over here she could store her boots water anything else we'll go ahead and wrap around the tent here these nice guidelines down here were great for opening up and getting getting more venting whenever it was warmer outside and then the same with over here so let's take a little tour of the inside here's my list of Uhl and yeah it's actually for a two-person tent and coming in right at three and a half pounds it is very very roomy I'd usually be on this side right here snuggles on that side as you can see we were actually able to put our packs inside of the tent we would sleep head to toe so she would her head would kind of be right next to my pack and her packs not in here right now but her pack would go right there so yeah we'd have plenty of room in here and snuggles you want to set up for me real quick and show him the head room it has plenty of headroom so at night a lot of times we had a little mini uno deck and we would sit in here and just kind of play uno and bullshit around and it was also great to get up in the morning be able to fix your coffee right in your vestibule on a chilly morning sit inside have a cup of coffee eat breakfast get ready for another day of hiking so yeah that's the copper spur ul - if you have any comments questions leave them in the comment area give me some feedback like my video dislike my video let me know what you think subscribe to my channel and thanks for watching

At the end of 2014 my wife Snuggles & I decided to quit our jobs, sell 95% of the things we own, & leave our home town for good in search of adventure, culture, & the true meaning of happiness. We bought a van, traveled all over the country & hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2189.2 miles). We are still seeking adventure in new places, meeting new people, trying new food & drink, & discovering all that we can.

This Channel has developed into a main hub for aspiring hikers & current hikers to gain info on a wide variety of Trail Topics. With a series of Trip Videos, Q&A, Tip Videos, & Gear Reviews, I aim to get you out on the trail and hiking more!
