Bark River Mini Bushcrafter -Mantis Outdoors
Description
Very excited for this video to come out one of my favorite little knives to pull out whenever a carving task is needed. The mini bushcrafter from Bark River knives is a exemplary blade to carry on your person while in the woods or on the front porch just carving. This blade has thoroughly impressed me and will be one that I will be keeping so I can use throughout the years

hey how you guys doing this William Irish mess outdoors back atcha with another video and in today's video I got a really nice knife video for you guys today pretty soon here we're gonna be getting some more Skills videos I have several more reviews a couple more knife reviews to kick out and this is one of them this is the mini bushcrafter from bark river
this one is CPM 3v and as you can tell this is just a perfect little bushcraft knife small intermediate task and will even do some of the bigger tasks as well so let's go put this knife to work so you know as far as fit and finish of the knife you know bark River you're always going to expect that really nice fit and finish the the handles to the bark river knives are roll is really nice really comfortable and it's got a pretty sharp spine on it but this is something that you can come to expect from bark River just like other more popular knife makers like LTE and etc you know the thing that I really like about this mini bushcrafter is that you know it could be very comfortable as a a side knife or a belt knife but it works very well as a neck knife as well and like I said this thing will handle everything that you need it to handle and it definitely will hog wood that's for sure so even in the reverse grip this knife is very comfortable very handy just seems like it was designed for that and in fact because it's one of the best knives that I have had in reverse grip works really well and one of the reasons why we do this is for a little bit of leverage and it's also a little safety thing too as well because the nice really not moving just my chest is moving I'm pulling out pieces of wood with my chest and that's the same thing we do with you know knee locks and things like that as well alright so you know carving little notches and things like that is an absolute breeze with this knife you know I'd even go as far as says this would be a tri stic maker for sure different notches and carving tasks and he just flies through very simply very sharp knife utility and this knife is just really nice that's the only downside to having a carver that is this able to be used as a carver is the sharpened spine it has its pluses and minuses a sharpest spine does in my opinion you know when you're trying to carve little minor details and use it a thumb assist assist that's when a sharper spine could kind of get on your nerves a little bit but its benefits in my opinion outweigh its negatives so you know I could come in here with the tip and I can kind of carve out that knotch making this something that a pot would be able to hang from etc let's try a square nostril quick and you know everybody knows with this being 3v it holds an edge amazingly well very well holding an edge I try these square notches because if you're gonna roll this edge it's gonna be on something like popping out a square notch or something like that don't have any worries about that at this point but it's just the standard test that I do because not only am i breaking the layers of the wood down by rocking this blade through it I also need to come in here with the very edge of the tip and clean that notch out a little bit it just shows me what the knife can do that's why you see us doing these tests pretty much over and over and over again I do get several questions about that nice little square a notch use it a lot in building like tables and stuff like that you know obviously I'm not gonna take this to some big 4-inch log and try to put on it but you know something simple like this is about the max that I would put this knife under anyway but just to get some kind of crafting surface out you know I don't have to really do too much to do that maybe I need to make feather sticks or something like that
this plate is definitely excel at things like that it just makes ribbons as far as the others go there's other sticks you know I'm not slicing through the wood I'm just using the edge as push cuts getting very fine fine fibers to come off of the wood or striking with a Ferro rod etc yeah this knife really hold well you know there is a lot of utility in this blade I really like it very compact very useful blade something that I will definitely don't mind carrying on a daily basis and switching this up to more of an EDC maybe neck knife you know a companion blade to a bigger blade alright guys well it's just been a really short video about the mini bushcrafter from bark River I really enjoyed using this knife I have for quite a while like you know on my channel I usually don't review things unless I've had it for about 30 days to three months depending using it pretty much every day out in the woods or at home when I do my little carbines at home and that's what I've been doing with this knife absolutely enjoy it very nice nice sticker price on this thing is around a hundred and sixty two dollars and for some of you that is just far outside your budget especially for something with like a three three-and-a-half inch blade but I will say the fit finish quality of this blade and the fact that it is 3 P makes it in my opinion definitely worth the price so obviously if you pick it up you won't be disappointed I guarantee that alright guys well I hope you enjoyed the video and if you did I appreciate click like down below and subscribe and if you already have it don't forget to hit the belt like on button beside the subscribe button to be updated on videos that are in the future as always I appreciate ru views comments and support and hopefully we'll see you at the woods you
