My friend and colleague Ray Goodwin - who is a canoe maestro - set me a little challenge of hitting a really tight eddy after a drop on the upper River Tryweryn in Wales. We were there for some canoe skills training for my team at Frontier Bushcraft but Ray thought this would be a nice challenge for me. I have to say I was a bit nervous about making it....
