I cook meat, onion and paprika on glowing coals. First, I made a fire and let it burn down to get a good glow. Next, I put the raw peppers and the onion (with shell) on the embers. The vegetables do not burn, but go through nicely and retain their fine aroma. A little later I put the meat on the embers and cooked medium. When everything had gone through, I removed the burnt shell of the onion and the peppers and seasoned them with salt. That tasted very delicious!
