so a few weeks it's April 1st today's in three weeks I guess on Monday so the 24th I think it is I'm going on a seven or eight day canoe trip to Algonquin Park and I'll be true to fishing probably every day so because I take all lightweight gear and he's single portaging my entire gear in canoe weighs about 70 pounds I have to go a light weight rods as well which is fine because the trout that I'm targeting I'm mostly gonna be broke through two other smaller big one to be a couple pounds 20 inches got some that size last year and a little bit of lake trout fishing you know with this this rod here I think this is the one I caught an eight pound they carried on last year and some pike up to about ten pounds probably it's well in Killarney so this is the Eagle Claw Trail Master it's a takedown rod elrod it's a boat I think it's five pieces I just open up a packet like this when I'm using a different rod or if I'm just doing a lot of poor Taj's and I don't want to have to worry about a rod getting broke in the hanging around in the canoe I leave it in the case packs up nice and small that's right that's worth bag in my in front of me very well padded protects it does a good job so this is the rod one two three four five six piece rod actually I leave the line attached so that when I do decide I'm gonna finish I can just pull it it would not have to reef breathe and set it up so it stays all together like that except there is one piece that the butt piece next to the handle is doesn't have an eye in it so the line doesn't go through to hold it there maybe just to put that together and so on just keep going together off it because this is seven feet it's a light medium action eagleclaw betrayal master like I said and it's a seven foot spin and fly rod I might try that with a as a flat rod to my might work let's see why not but it's short it's only seven feet when your fly casting from a canoe down low over the water a little bit longer a little bit more reaches typically better but anyway this is what lights for date online and I think I have six pound mono on here and believe that's what it feels like I've got six pound models so there's lots probably 200 yards and that's all I use that for I might use it for casting to throw it in the rivers but mainly I'll use this for trolling on the open lakes for later so I'll just fold right back up again I may be able to fit that in the fly rod case which would be great if I can get them both in there this is the fly rod that I'm taking now that's the case you can see it's quite a bit bigger and this little spinning rod tape take down spinning around no but I do want to try to fly fishing through properity in the park this year so I am bringing that for sure I'm gonna see if I can get those in there together

this is a fly rod I picked up at at Bass Pro Shops I think it was $300 for the for the kit which I don't normally bike kid anything I like to customize but I'm fly fish for over 30 years since I was a teenager and looking forward to getting back into it but this is a good all-around rod this is a four or five weight believe it's a 45 weight eight foot six four piece rod so it packs down pretty small as well for for especially for an eight and a half foot rod and again I just leave it to the line on the setup you know through the guys just got a little gear ties you're holding it together which I use some of these for the other rod as well but same thing see that put together I'm not gonna put together in here but it's it's pretty straightforward eight and a half feet like I said so it's up a little bit of room it is the NXT series a four to five weight is good get all round rod you can use it for different things I'll use it for throw this spring and then also pan fish or a check in a globe probably the next week or two before I go to the bill Conklin do some pan fishing on a nearby small lake that has lots of perch sunfish and rock bass and then once the bass season opens on that same little lake because it's only two minutes from now so I'll fish small like a bass with this rod as well so it's a pretty versatile right and then practicing casting in the backyard and being pretty good with it anyway that's the two rods I'm taking on my trips this year probably even for later so you can pass season kurz for for warm water species they'll probably still take us there these two outfits have some fun with some bass and even some pike that brought their even else late medium action they can good land any fish of it now if that had a double zipper on it I can make that work together that would be great if I could have both rods in one small case I don't see myself taking two cases I think I'll probably end up keeping the fly rod mainly put together probably in two pieces and strap it to the seat of the hem that gonna with a canoe or the Thorton of the canoe anyway I'll make this work
