two stick hearth friction fire

Description

This is a bow and drill fire demonstration using the two stick hearth method. It's just two sticks tied to hold them against each other and that is the finished hearth board. There is no notch in the side for the embers to drop through. The ember collects on top in between the 2 sticks. This methods advantage lies in being able to create the whole setup without a knife or other tool. you can create the whole setup just by breaking braches off to the length you need with your hands. It also creates the ember up off the ground which may be wet at the time.
