hey guys I want to do to a video today responding to Iowa woodsman's video the one stick fire method so instead of using my knife I've done that before I'm going to try and use my axe which I've never done before so just my axe and my fire steel I've got a piece of Basilan same stuff I awards been used it's a good wood just to try things out with you know I mean it's not a hard wood it's a good would see ya got and I'm in my backyard it's not very bushy so and if I was in the bush i would be normally using a piece of like ash Park or some other kind of art to lay down and keep things off the ground but i'm just going to use a piece of cardboard today you have to forgive me for that so I'm going to try and split my my bass with the standing method between the legs do this i'm just going to put a piece of bark on the ground boat here and then support it's gonna it's going to tip the one end of the basswood log up so that i can hit it oh you want to keep your legs really far apart while doing this so you don't glance off and hit your legs it'll be horrible you just want to swing one swing right through see how this works for me

okay so I got mostly through it in the one swing which is all right i'm just going to got through there okay I do that a couple more times until i got manageable pieces and go have to do it like this obviously so probably lots when I do like this okay so that pretty much for a nice pieces to work with if I was in the woods I would have liked a downed log that i was using to as a as a base to chop from I don't furious and see that from here so I just cut a piece of something I found under my desk used for that

you want to keep your fingers out of the way while doing this obviously i'm just going to break into smaller and smaller pieces well i'm going to do this and I'll be right back so you guys don't have to watch me do the whole thing
